As a mother of two teenagers, I am passionate about bringing conversation, connection and relationships back to the center of education. It’s the relationships (whether peer to peer, teacher to student, parent to teacher or child) that create opportunities to move past the challenges and propel into an environment where kids are more ready to learn and teachers are more fulfilled in their work. Social-emotional learning can have a meaningful, positive, transformational impact if implemented properly. But, we cannot treat SEL as a one size fits all solution.
