For most early learners, the solution to challenging behaviors begins long before the behavior. Creating a foundation of character development in the classroom is key. Establishing norms and expectations around universal character traits gives educators the building blocks for deterring challenging behaviors. This session focuses on how educators can encourage those positive behaviors, advocate for family engagement to support the social and emotional learning, and develop a leadership team to help create a successful character initiative. Intended audience Pre-K through 1st grade educators and administrators.
