In the United States, one third of students who identify as LGBTQ  avoid attending Physical Education due to the environment being unsafe and or uncomfortable. As an educator, creating an environment that actively encourages and promotes inclusion of all students, no matter identity, enables all students to participate, feel included, and achieve. In this session, participants will learn how to create an inclusive team environment which supports all students, particularly LGBTQ youth. Participants will be able to ask questions from an expert in the field and will be provided best practices for supporting all student athletes.
